Hollow Guns

Have you ever noticed that steel cranes look a bit like hollow guns?
They penetrate the sky and hang high above our heads.
Sometimes they are straight shooters, pointed directly at things.
Other times, they are wild cards, moving around in spontaneous patterns like bees.
Their presence and potential power looms, suspended in the air.
You can't know when one will snap or shoot off metal into the atmosphere.
Their volatility is nerve wrecking.

  1. I love your perspective on this. I'm not sure I'll look at one the same! I've always been fascinated by the light coming through cranes, especially at twilight like your picture captured. Great slice...so vivid!

  2. I don't thinkI have ever paid attention to cranes. Your wondering and imaginative mind makes me wish to pay closer attention next time I see cranes.

  3. I love your perspective on cranes. We certainly see enough of them in this part of the world. Now I will look at them more closely.
